These are the things I've been involved in (mostly consulting) since the time covered in my summary resume (in roughly chronological order):
Sonic Solutions, Novato CA-- ran all hardware and software development for this public professional digital audio manufacturer, on an interim management basis for a quarter (they were in the process of recruiting a new COO and VP of Engineering). Reorganized engineering department, revamped processes. Reported to CEO.
Protozoa Inc, San Francisco, CA-- conducted product, market & strategic planning for this digital media spin-off of (Colossal) Pictures, particularly regarding "productizing" their Unix/C++ performance animation system. Also designed and implemented a customer support program for them. Client: CEO.
Asymetrix Inc, Bellevue WA-- consulted with this multimedia tools vendor regarding the technology base for their next-generation authoring products. Client: Multimedia Tools Division VP/GM.
Franz Inc, Berkeley, CA-- coded a self-running product demo to be deployed on CD, also converting World Wide Web client/server software ( CL-HTTP from MIT, which is currently running the White House web server) from workstation to PC. Clients: CEO and VP of Marketing.
Blue Dot Inc, Novato, CA-- recently incorporated myself to pursue a variety of efforts, including the coding of powerful, easy-to-use, visual programming, client/server and WWW tools.
