woodstock.10.0: gimme an "F"! (reva) Mon 8 Aug 94 08:43

For you folks on site -- tell us what music's playing right now (can you
hear it?). What are people wearing? How's the weather? How's the, uh, VIBE?

woodstock.10.1: otis (nycjag) Mon 8 Aug 94 09:07

Yeah, we wanna know WHAT"S HAPPENING!

woodstock.10.2: editorial comment (green) Mon 8 Aug 94 11:00

 Is hogfarm there?

woodstock.10.3: Jelly Donut (wstock4) Thu 11 Aug 94 09:17

Heyy folks out there! Thursday morning, no music yet, just some dudes on
the stage with guitars checking the sound. So clear and loud, it's gonna be
phenomenal!! I working with the food concessions. But
I haven't started yet. The masses that have shown up to serve the other
masses is outa control. Nice and cool this morning and no sun. Everybody
has been so friendly and everyone is anticipating a great time. Let the
 music begin.

woodstock.10.4: editorial comment (green) Thu 11 Aug 94 09:36

woodstock.10.6: Danica Remy (remy) Thu 11 Aug 94 11:42

woodstock.10.7: Noah (wstock5) Thu 11 Aug 94 11:59

I cant get any food around here before 6 pm, and i'm already hungry. This is
 not good!!!

woodstock.10.8: Noah (wstock1) Thu 11 Aug 94 14:05

I can't get any food around here. It seems dumb, because I have a meal pass,
and I'm willing to pay money, but my meal pass is for another part of the
site and the people here won't take my money. That's my comment!

woodstock.10.9: on the other side of the sun (miga) Thu 11 Aug 94 19:11

I got a vegie burrito! I wandered around the grounds tonight and it is
huge. People everywhere, setting up tents and hanging out. no live music
yet but they're playing tapes. actually, that's the main stage. Todd
Rundgren is playing even as I type! The crowd seems to be a mix of boomers
and genxers and seems happy and excited overall.

the main space is big and the stage has it's back to the mountains... the
sunset was lovely... someone just walked by with some nag champa incense

woodstock.10.10: Robin Joss (joss) Thu 11 Aug 94 20:29

How much for the burrito if I don't have a pass?

woodstock.10.11: editorial comment (green) Thu 11 Aug 94 21:10

['be there now' is now a slogan for MCI!]

woodstock.10.12: (jstraw) Fri 12 Aug 94 06:04

woodstock.10.13: otis (nycjag) Fri 12 Aug 94 06:29

I think it is really neat that folks were let in in time for the soundchecks

woodstock.10.14: Jeremy Kashnow (kash) Fri 12 Aug 94 07:51

I know it's not likely, but are they allowing taping of this? If not, s
 that stoppping anyone?

woodstock.10.15: on the other side of the sun (miga) Fri 12 Aug 94 11:33

The vegie burrito cost me $6 in aluminum "Woodstock '94" scrip. But along
with some yummy food I met some cool people from Seattle who came out here
 to make burritos!

woodstock.10.16: otis (nycjag) Fri 12 Aug 94 11:46

that's neat! i'd love to get the story on where the people selling food came
from. it seems like they are from all over the country and not your run of
the mill concession runner. does anyone know how all that cam about?

woodstock.10.17: Fuzzy Logic (phred) Fri 12 Aug 94 18:11

I just talked with the folks at Ameba, M, and they all say HI. I'll
be there tomorrow, plus of course we have Friends & Family tomorrow
night alongside Ravestock. Maybe we can compare realtime musical
 experience :)

woodstock.10.18: cerise (wstock5) Fri 12 Aug 94 19:23

Just got back from a great cruise to THE BIG STAGE. There's a mud pit
workin stage left with about 100 brown people taking running starts and
 sliiiiiiiding!

The tents are creating a bit of a bottle neck in some spots but we've found
some great alternative routes through the woods. The ciccada symphony that's
happening around this little stream has an almost hypnotic effect.

The cool mist settling in adds a most etherial feel.

 Wish you all were here.

woodstock.10.19: on the other side of the sun (miga) Fri 12 Aug 94 21:39

Hey, Phred! Have fun tomorrow! I'm about to head off to Orbital, Dee-Lite
and the Orb... the Orb is sposed to be on for the sunrise. d:)

And here *now* - we're on IRC in a woodstock channel, people are calling in
to say hi on the phone and TOdd Rundgren is playing in his midi-thang. He's
just amazing... he's been playing 4 times a day and the people in his tent
 are having a blast.

woodstock.10.20: gail williams (gail) Sat 13 Aug 94 11:21
