woodstock.28: Too bad you're not here!
woodstock.28.0: WELL Woodstock Demo #4 (wstock4) Fri 12 Aug 94 10:06 I almost didn't come because some of the rumors were just out of control. Once inside, I quickly learned that all the speculation was just rumors. woodstock.28.1: louplou (wstock4) Fri 12 Aug 94 10:11 You cant' bring food, your can't bring metal spikes, you can't bring alcohol, you will be in a rock and roll prison camp, the sound will suck, etc... I almost didn't come because of some of these rumors. We actually sat outside from 12-6. At first we thought that the gates would open at 12, then we were told 2, then 4 and finally we got in at 6. My friend didn't have a ticket and he just hopped over the fence. Security is pretty lax, and people are pretty cool. There's been no trouble. I've seen it all in here, beer, food, metal stakes. The music is great, the sound is perfect. Local bands are playing now and the are rocking. Everyone is working togther and helping one another out, truly in the spirit of the Woodstock nation. More to follow in here....... woodstock.28.2: Adele Framer (tigereye) Fri 12 Aug 94 10:15 As I've said elsewhere, they really know how to party in upstate New York! (It's the winters...) woodstock.28.3: Bryan Higgins (bryan) Fri 12 Aug 94 10:27 What are you using the metal spikes for? woodstock.28.4: Dan Levy on site (wstock5) Fri 12 Aug 94 10:36 It *has* been pretty well organized so far, but the schlep from the bus drop off to the campsites was unbelievably long. In a definite Woodstock moment, as we were making the trek at about 1 a.m. to the campsite last night, my friends and I came upon Michael Lang, one of the organizers of Woodstocks I and II. He was very friendly and mellow, and kind of acknowledged that we were clearly experiencing more hassle than we should have been. So far, so cool. woodstock.28.5: Twistall Tweet (wstock2) Fri 12 Aug 94 11:05 Get this -- walked in -- no one checked my ticket! Z woodstock.28.6: The Next Generation (mglito) Fri 12 Aug 94 12:27 Sounds pretty cool! woodstock.28.7: HEATHER HALL (MADONNA) (wstock5) Fri 12 Aug 94 12:57 I really did not want to come to woodstock '94! A few things suck about it (i.e. script for cash, the fact that almost everything costs money for a $135.00 we should at least ride the VR machines for free!). The crowds suck too you can't walk anywhere but thats a small price to pay for this kick-ass concert! You can here the music anywhere! Nevertheless, I was able to enter my contaminated pankake in the bobsled contest. (That's where we all sled on Bob.> So of course, Bob is pissed. He never got to go to Woodstock because his nostril was lost at kenedy Airport. I never thought that would happen, but unfortunately now he needs a nostrilectamy. And a cranial liposuction.
