Woodstock Products We'd Like to See
 (apologies to Mad Magazine)

woodstock.48.1: Dan Levy (danlevy) Fri 12 Aug 94 20:37

The tickets for Woodstock were really beautiful, full color printed and BIG.
So why'd they have to collect them at the door? My theory: they're gonna
laminate them and sell them back to us!

woodstock.48.2: (ernie) Fri 12 Aug 94 20:39

They collected them--didn't rip them and keep the stub? I think
 you're on to something...

woodstock.48.3: Dan Levy (wstock3) Fri 12 Aug 94 21:05

Personally, I'd prefer mine to be laminated onto a gun rack or something.

woodstock.48.4: zenkair (zenkair) Fri 12 Aug 94 22:10

Mine was laminated to my forehead.
They had to rip off my head to get it. It wasn't a pretty sight.

woodstock.48.5: Much[322YoungforWoodstock1 (isaac) Fri 12 Aug 94 22:45

Oh yeah, well I went to a tattoo parlor, and had them trace the whole ticket with the taattoo gun, using the correct ink colors, and now hava a perfect replica on my forehead, forever!
 Beat *that!*

woodstock.48.6: Conceived at Woodstock? NOT! (mglito) Sat 13 Aug 94 13:53

What about the people who never had their tickets checked?
Telluride Bluegrass does the same things re: tickets (they take the whole
thing)-- I guess they think the bracelet is enough of a souvenier. I beg to

woodstock.48.7: jt/al (wstock4) Sat 13 Aug 94 17:17

zenkair as in Arel or wulf?

woodstock.48.8: Tom Mandel (mandel) Sun 14 Aug 94 09:25

One mail order firm--the one advertising on MTV--is already offering
 laminated, framed W 2 tickets. $75, I think...

woodstock.48.9: We must be in HEAVEN, man! (tnf) Sun 14 Aug 94 09:28

MTV has a regularly-scheduled (I think) program called "The Goods" which
this weekend featured all Woodstock merchandise. Backstage passes for $75!

woodstock.48.10: Tom Mandel (mandel) Sun 14 Aug 94 09:47

Except they won't get you backstage...

woodstock.48.11: We must be in HEAVEN, man! (tnf) Sun 14 Aug 94 09:49

 Well, of course!

woodstock.48.12: (heynow) Sun 14 Aug 94 15:30

They should be ashamed of themselves.
The Goods should be renamed "THE RIPOFFS."

woodstock.48.13: we (justride) Mon 15 Aug 94 11:12

I saw some of that show ("The Goods") Saturday evening.
$40 Woodstock II logo sweatshirts, with the word "STAFF"
printed on the back in big blue letters. Bound to be a collector's
item. Gimme elevnty zillion of 'em.

woodstock.48.14: Tom Mandel (mandel) Mon 15 Aug 94 11:17

That was as bad a infomercial as I think I've ever seen.
