Tileable patterns

Here is a collection of tileable patterns I've made with the Gimp. You're welcome to use them as desktop wallpaper patterns, web page backgrounds, or whatever. All the artwork is my original work except where noted otherwise in the footnotes.

Click on the "preview" link to see what each tile will look like when it tiles.

The images are stored as jpeg's, but you can convert them to Gimp patterns via the Gimp. For more info about the Gimp see http://www.gimp.org. If you're very confused about how to use these tiles, please see my instructions page or drop me a line and I'll see what I can do to help.

[1] My first working tile. I had made of couple of subtle tiles that I was quite fond of... until I noticed that they didn't tile! Ack! Here's a quick tile I made in a rush just to see what I was doing wrong. This one's a LOT brighter and bolder than I would've ordinarily made, but it's kinda fun nonetheless.

[3] My Asian Dub Foundation tile. (Initial pre-tweak image by the Asian Dub Foundation.)

[5] Make your monitor tune in, turn on, and degauss! Truthfully, I didn't "make" this. I found an image of what appears to be digital scan of real LSD-25 blotter, and found that it happened to be exactly 50x50 pixels. I tiled it to 100x100 and zoom... whole lotta blotta!

[6] Based on a photo from the WTO protests in Seattle.
