Everything you always wanted to know about

Here are a few of my favorite things
Here are a few of my favorite people

I love to travel

I've visited the capitals of most of Western and Central Europe, the East and West coast of North America and Egypt. I visited India towards the end of 1995, Japan in mid-1998 and Cuba at the beginning of 2000 (several images from there clutter up my hard disk waiting to be turned into some kind of travelogue!)

Current projects include:

Doing a bit of local activism as the secretary of the Newington Green Action Group, whose Internet presence I also maintain.

I sing a fair bit:

I have sung with the London Philharmonic Choir and the London Symphony Chorus among others.

I have been part of several recordings - the only ones I have details for are:

Ein Deutsches Requiem, Opus 45 by Brahms, conducted by Richard Hickox with Felicity Lott and David Wilson-Johnson CHAN 8942

The Dream of the Rood Etc by Howard Ferguson, conducted by Richard Hickox with Anne Dawson and Rayner Cook CHAN 9082 (May no longer be available)

Ivan the Terrible by Sergei Prokofiev, conducted by Zajick Rostropovich with Tamara Sinyavskaya, Sergei Leiferkus and Christopher Plummer SONY 7464 48387 2 (May no longer be available)

A Haydn's Creation concert I performed in was reviewed by the Times. "Above, beyond and behind was the choir. They were splendidly vigorous..." Not much to say, true, but reviewers seldom have anything to say about choruses as a rule...
