Buffoon Anonymous: 12 Steps To Inanity.
SUITABLE FOR AGES 12 AND
ABOVE
A fictional autobiographical clown play about a clown who needs
to quit, but can't. Features classic clown routines, crazy music, an
obligatory avante garde dance, audience participation, chilling
monologues, the ACME DE-CLOWNIFIER, and mediocre juggling. The
Providence Phoenix said "Brave work... silly sight gags, extended
silences, galloping slapstick, and shameless borrowings from Road
Runner cartoons that quickly win over the audience."

The Puppet Tragedies

A world premiere as part of Acme Clown Month, this show features
classic and new tales of tragedy told using puppets. Features such
pieces as THE BARBIE OEDIPUS, which uses the popular dolls to enact
Sophocles' complex tragedy, Other pieces include A Short Day's
Journey Into Night, The Vegetable MacBeth, and a brand new French
Tragedy entitled "Le Poisson Rouge Tragique" (The Tragic Goldfish)

ACME PUPPET SLAM

A late night puppet salon featuring local artists
creating new and exciting pieces. Each piece is approximately ten
minutes long, and the evening will feature 6-7 puppet artists.

STREET FESTIVAL
SUITABLE FOR ALL AGES
As part of Greenbelt's Open Arts Program, the Acme Clown
Month students will perform, along with professional street
performers on the open air. There will be a parade, and street shows
in the Greenbelt Courtyard (above the Arts Center) Bring your entire
family and enjoy the frolic! Local Greenbelt groups will have booths
out too!
Admission is free, but donations are gratefully encouraged. Put
them in the hat!

THE SECRET CIRCUS
SUITABLE FOR ALL AGES
Directed by local theatre maven Chris Cherry, this circus
musical is performed by Chris's students, who have been studying with
him during Acme Clown Month. These talented youngsters are sure to
delight your senses and tickle your funnybone.

BINDLESTIFF FAMILY CIRKUS

"This New York City Cirkus has a message, and the cirkus
is their medium." A radical troupe that specializes in a mixture of
sideshow, circus, and burlesque with acts that range from the exotic
to the erotic. They'll perform two shows in Greenbelt-- the first is
an all ages show which is appropriate for anyone and everyone. The
second show is an ADULT ONLY show. No one under the age of 18 will be
admitted, and identifications will be checked at the door.
