Saturday All Things Considered did a story on Murder on a Sunday Morning which was nominated for an Oscar for best documentary. It will be shown on HBO. Tuesday, March 05, 2002
I saw Michael Moore speak at the Commonwealth Club today. You can listen to the speech. He mentioned Jane Meyer's New Yorker piece, The House of Bin Laden. Moore is currently on a book tour and is keeping a diary (the link is to the first entry). I'll write more about the speech on TVBarn and do a review of the DVD of second season of TV Nation for Docs on TV. I watched Lagaan on DVD the other day. It is a (nearly) four hour politcal musical Bollywood film about cricket with set in the 1890s. It is also the third film from India nominated for a best foreign film Oscar. There is even a section of the Hindustan Times site devoted to the film's chances.
